singly or combined;
Colour: ruby red of varying intensity;
Bouquet: heady;
Flavour: dry or very slightly sweet,
medium body, may be slightly sparkling
or sparkling; Overall minimum alcohol
content by volume: 11.5% by vol.;
Minimum ageing by law: not prescribed;
when the wine has been made from
grapes with a total minimum natural
alcohol content by volume of 12.5%,
and has been aged for not less than
a year, at least 6 months of which
must be in oak barrels, it can be
denoted "superiore".
