"Alta Langa"
|
This
appellation is reserved for spumante,
white, red or rosé wines obtained
exclusively from a second bottle fermentation.
It is produced in the provinces of Alessandria,
Asti and Cuneo grapes from vineyards belonging
to the same winery in the following composition:
from 90 to 100% Pinot noir and/or Chardonnay.
The D.O.C. wine "Alta Langa"
is the result of 10 years of active research
in Piedmont with the aim of addressing
a gap in the market, which up till now
did not admit the big spumante producers
in Piedmont onto the market for D.O.C.
‘metodo classico’ spumante
wines.
An excellent aperitif, this is also a
great accompaniment to fish and white
meats, starters and light pasta and rice
dishes.
