The
Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio (savings bank)
of Asti has decided to realize this internet
portal dedicated to the Pro Locos of Asti’s
province in order to give visibility to
Asti’s cultural, tourist and folklore
heritage for those who still don’t
know it: the story and life of the Pro Locos,
non-profit associations that try and promote
in every village of the province the consciousness,
the protection and the enhancement of the
area.
Among the main tasks of the Pro Locos there’s
the aggregation of the town dwellers, of
the authorities and associations that voluntarily
share the same principles and purposes .
These are the aims that have made this portal
possible, which is promoted and sponsored
by Asti’s Cassa di Risparmio Foundation.
In this project are also involved public
bodies and institutions, associations and
consortia, comunità collinari (consortia
of municipalities in hilly areas) and single
municipalities.
Our main objective is to make known Pro
Locos’ activity in order to enhance
local traditions, local food and products,
gourmet tourism, landscape and artistic
heritage trying to spread world-wide this
message.
